As expected earlier, Lenovo-owned ZUK brand has launched its newest smartphone named ZUK Edge. Staying true to its name, the phone features a bezel-less design with a screen-to-body ratio of 86.4%. Other than the design, it is powered by high-end specifications including the latest Android Nougat v7.0.
The ZUK Edge sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, it has a quad-core 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with 4GB and 6GB RAM options. The phone features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and PDAF+CAF hybrid autofocus along with an 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. It comes only in 64GB internal storage option with no microSD card expansion.
The whole package is powered by a 3100mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. On the software front, it will be shipping ZUK’s custom ZUI 2.5 based on Android Nougat 7.0. Other features of the ZUK Edge include a USB Type-C port and a U-Touch fingerprint scanner that is said to unlock the phone only in 0.09 seconds. There is also an inbuilt heart rate scanner and UV scanner with support for payment services like PayPal and Alipay.
The ZUK Edge has been priced at 2299 Yuan (Rs. 22,500/$330) and 2499 Yuan (Rs. 24,500/$360) for 4GB and 6GB RAM version respectively. It will be available in Titanium Black and Ceramic White color options starting January 1st in China. There are no words on the international availability at the moment.
