The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is undoubtedly one of the company’s best-selling smartphones. It received positive feedback from both critics and users for being the best mid-ranger under Rs. 15,000. It was launched earlier this year with MIUI 7 based on Lollipop. While it received MIUI 8 update, it was still running on Lollipop underneath. But the wait for Marshmallow is finally over as Xiaomi has started to rollout MIUI OTA update in India.

It is basically a nightly build which Xiaomi is referring as Beta Stable release. It means that update is currently rolling out to a few randomly selected users and should be rolled out to everyone soon.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Marshmallow update is pretty big as it weighs 1.3GB in size. The changelog of the update is same as the previous beta release. While you can wait for the OTA update notification to arrive on your device, you can also go for the manual installation by downloading the OTA update ZIP file.
