Xiaomi has announced that the much-awaited Redmi Note 3 smartphone will launch in India on March 3. It is a smartphone with mid-ranger specifications and the first Xiaomi phone to sport a full metallic body as well as a fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi Note 3 was first launched in China with the MediaTek Helio X10 chipset but in India, it will be announced with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset. The rest of the specifications will remain the same.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The phone has two models: 2GB RAM with 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. There is a 16MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera at front. The whole package is powered by a 4050mAh battery and it runs on MIUI based on Android Lollipop v5.0.2.
There is no information about the pricing of the phone. Since it is priced at RMB 999 (about Rs. 10,500) in China, you can expect it to be launched within Rs. 12,000. It means the smartphone will be competing with the likes of the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, Huawei Honor 5X, and LeEco Le 1S.
