Xiaomi is still a few months away from launching its next and much-anticipated flagship smartphone, the Mi 5 and we are hearing about something new related to the device almost every day. Continuing with this trend, we have come across a new set of renders along with a video that is said to be showing the Xiaomi Mi 5 in action.
The newly leaked renders show the Xiaomi Mi 5 in four color variants: White, Black, Pink, and Gold. The renders also hint towards metallic build and a design quite different from the current flagship of the company, the Mi 4. You can also see the home button which is expected to double up as the fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi is rumored to be using world’s fastest and smallest fingerprint sensor in the Mi 5.
In the leaked video, it shows the Mi 5 in White color variant which is placed over a wooden block. The user can be seen using the phone and opening up an app which seems to be either a browser or Weibo’s app for Android devices. The phone shown in the video resembles the render images about which we discussed above. You can check out the video below:
There is no concrete information related to the specifications of the Mi 5, but as per various rumors and leaks, here is what we know about the phone so far.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumored to come with a 5.2-inch QHD/FHD display. Under the hood, it will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU coupled with 4GB of RAM. It may also have a 16MP rear shooter and an 8MP front shooter. On the storage front, it is expected to come with 16GB/64GB options with support for expandable storage. The whole package is expected to be powered by a 3030mAh battery and will ship with MIUI based on Android Marshmallow v6.0.
