Samsung’s Android-based custom UI has been known as TouchWiz for quite a long time. It has also been known for being resource hungry and lagging but the company has started working on making it better and faster for quite some time. We first saw major changes in the UI with Galaxy Note 7’s Grace UX and now with latest Nougat beta, Samsung seems to be all set to bid farewell to TouchWiz for forever.

Samsung has now started to roll out the third build of Nougat beta to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. While the build brings a few new features and improvements, the most noticeable change is inside the About Device section. Here, you will notice that Samsung has used the term Samsung Experience version which is labeled as SE 8. It basically means that the latest UI on the Nougat beta is officially known as Samsung Experience with version 8.

While it is unknown whether Samsung Experience is used only for Nougat-based UI or will also be used for older devices which will not get updated to the latest Android version. We will be keeping you updated as more information will appear.

In the meantime, if you are a Galaxy Beta program then you should wait for the latest Nougat beta update. It weighs around 528MB and brings features like Samsung Pass and Samsung Note among various UI changes.
