Samsung has launched its latest mid-range Android tablet Galaxy Tab A (2017) in India. It sports an 8-inch display and offers stand-alone 4G LTE connectivity. This basically means that users will not have to rely on WiFi hotspots for browsing the internet. It has been priced at Rs. 17,990 and is currently available for purchase via Samsung’s online store as well as various offline stores.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) launch comes with a couple of launch offers for early buyers. The first one is in collaboration with Reliance Jio under which users will be able to get up to 180GB of free additional 4G data for a period of one year. The second offer is regarding one-time free screen replacement if the tablet is purchased before November 9th.
Other major specifications include the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM. The tablet offers 16GB of internal storage with support for microSD cards up to 256GB. It further has an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front camera. There is a microUSB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 4.2 support.
The whole package is powered by a 5000mAh battery which should be able to last you for a day of usage. On the software front, it is running Android 7.1 Nougat layered with Samsung’s custom skin. If interested, you will be able to choose from Black and Gold color options.
