Samsung has announced the Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphones for India at Samsung Forum event held in Kuala Lumpur. Both the smartphones were first launched in China last year and are successors to the phones of same names. The Samsung Galaxy A5 has been priced at Rs. 29,400 and the Galaxy A7 at Rs. 33,400. These phones will be available through Snapdeal as well as via offline stores.

Both the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) are mid-ranger smartphones with a premium design. Talking abut the Galaxy A7 (2016), it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, it has a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone offers 16GB of internal storage along with a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter. It supports microSD card up to 128GB. The whole package is powered by a 3300mAh battery and ships with Android Lollipop v5.1.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A5 (2016) sports almost similar specs except for a few changes. It has a smaller 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. There is only 2GB of RAM along with relatively smaller 2900mAh battery with fast charging support.
