As expected and spotted in earlier leaks and teasers, OnePlus has officially unveiled the latest flagship smartphone named OnePlus 3T. It is basically the upgraded variant of the OnePlus 3 with the latest chipset, more storage, higher battery, and an improved front camera.

The OnePlus 3T features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at 2.35GHz which is an upgrade over Snapdragon 820 SoC on the OnePlus 3. Similarly, the new 3T variant comes in 128GB storage model in addition to the 64GB option. The battery has also been increased from 3000mAh to 3400mAh.

In the camera department, OnePlus has kept the rear camera same at 16MP but has used an improved front camera. It has replaced the 8MP Sony IMX179 front shooter on the older model with a 16MP Samsung 3P8SP shooter on the OnePlus 3T along with the addition of phase detection autofocus.

The rest of the specs for the OnePlus 3T are same as the older flagship. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display and features 6GB RAM. The newer model also features support for OnePlus’ Dash Charge fast charging technology which debuted with the OnePlus 3 earlier this year.

It features OnePlus’ signature alert slider on the left side. There is a fingerprint scanner on the front and USB Type-C port. On the software front, it will be shipping OxygenOS based on Android Marshmallow but OnePlus has assured Nougat update before the end of the year which will also be released for the OnePlus 3 at the same time.

The OnePlus 3T has been launched in Soft Gold and Gunmetal color options. It is priced at $439 and $479 for 64GB and 128GB storage options respectively. If you are someone from the Europe, you will have shell out €439 and €479 respectively for the two variants. It will go on sale in the United States starting November 22nd and in the Europe on November 28th. There are no words on the availability of the phone in India yet.
