Tencent Games’ Player Unknown’s Battleground (PUBG) is currently one of the most popular games around the world including India. It has seen a great response from gamers on PC, console, and even mobile devices. This is the reason Tencent has now teamed up with Oppo to announce India’s first official PUBG Mobile tournament.
The tournament is named PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2018 as it is currently open only for college students. It is expected to see students from over 1000 colleges spread across more than 30 Indian cities. The total prize pool for the competition is Rs. 50 lakh with a grand prize of cool Rs. 15 lakh where all the prizes are sponsored by Oppo.
The PUBG Mobile tournament will kick off from September 26th, 2018 with the grand finale scheduled for October 21st, 2018 in Bengaluru. Tencent has started to take registrations for the same with the deadline set for September 21st, 2018. “PUBG Mobile has become one of the most played games in India. It is the number one free game in iOS and the number one grossing game in Google Play Store in Action Games category. Recently PUBG Mobile crossed the 10 million daily active users (DAUs) around the world (excluding China). We are organizing local events and tournaments around the game to build the brand and increase our user base. We are also planning e-sports championships in India to engage our core players.”

- 2nd Prize: Rs. 5 lakh

- 6th Prize: Rs. 1 lakh
- 7th Prize: Rs. 80 thousand
- 8th Prize: Rs. 70 thousand
- 9th Prize: Rs. 60 thousand
