HMD Global has officially started to release Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Nokia 8 flagship. The update was under beta testing since last month and as per the latest tweet from Juho Sarvikas, HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, “everything is polished” in the stable version.

The Nokia 8 Android Oreo update weighs 1518.1MB in size and some of the major features include Picture-in-Picture mode, Notification dots, Google Play Protect security scans, Autofill passwords, Faster boot up, and November security patch. The update is getting rolled out in batches which means it might take some time for it to arrive on your particular unit.

Sarvikas further said that the other Nokia smartphones will get the Oreo update in the near future as well. These other devices include the Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. The best part is that HMD Global has plans for releasing Android P update for all these devices as well.
