Motorola has officially launched the Moto X4 smartphone in India. It is the first smartphone from the company to feature dual rear cameras and IP68 certification. It also happens to be the first smartphone in the country to be powered by the octa-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. The smartphone was first introduced globally at IFA event in Berlin.
The Moto X4 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass. There are two variants of the phone, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage another with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Both these variants do support microSD cards for expansion.
In terms of the cameras, there is a 12-megapixel Dual Autofocus Pixel sensor (f/2.0 aperture) combined with an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide-angle sensor (f/2.2 aperture) on the back. There is also phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, low-light mode, and beauty mode.
The whole package is powered by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support. It will be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and should be upgraded to Android Oreo. There is also a fingerprint scanner, IP68 certification, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone also features Amazon Alexa digital assistant support but it will be accessible only if and when Amazon releases the Alexa Moto app in India.
The Moto X4 has been priced at Rs. 20,999 for 3GB/32GB model and Rs. 22,999 for 4GB/64GB model. It is available only in Super Black color variant. If interested, you will be able to get one via Flipkart online or offline Moto Hub stores starting tonight.
