Earlier today, we told you about the Moto X (2017) leak and now there is a new leak which is related with Motorola’s next mid-rangers and supposedly called Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. These rumored smartphones will be succeeding the current Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus respectively.

Both the alleged Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus have been leaked in a blurred photo which makes it hard to tell if there is any different between the Moto G4 and G5 series. Although, it can be noticed that only the Moto G5 Plus model features the fingerprint scanner which is on the front.

Other than this photo, there is a leaked screenshot of a specs table which is said to be of the two phones. Both Moto G5 and G5 Plus are listed to sport a 5.5-inch display, octa-core processor, and 16GB base model but only the Plus variant offers a 32GB storage option. There is also support for Turbo Charge fast charging for both models.

The major difference between the two phones listed in the table is in the camera department. The Moto G5 Plus is listed to feature 16MP rear camera with 5MP front camera and the Moto G5 will be having a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front shooter. On the software, both should run Android Nougat as Motorola phones are known to run the latest Android version out of the box. Additionally, it is already working on Nougat update for Moto G4 and G4 Plus.

Finally, the leak mentions the release date. Both Moto G5 and G5 Plus are said to get official on March 8th but it is not clear whether it’s for the Indian market or somewhere else in the world.

While this leak does seem believable, we would suggest you take it with a pinch of salt unless some more information appear.
