Earlier this year, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched three variants of the Moto G4 family: Moto G4 Plus, Moto G4, and Moto G4 Play. While the first two variants are already available in India, the last Moto G4 Play is all set to launch in India on September 6.
Motorola India is not going to hold any special launch event for the phone as it simply changed its Twitter header image to announce the launch. The Moto G4 Play will be an Amazon exclusive like the other two Moto G4 devices. There is no information regarding the pricing but it is expected to be around Rs. 9,000 which was also spotted on Zauba listing earlier.
As for the Moto G4 Play, it is the basic and least powerful model in the Moto G4 family. The phone sports a 5-inch HD display and features nano coating which is said to be water resistant. Under the hood, it has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera.
You will get 16GB of internal storage with the Moto G4 Play which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The whole package is powered by a 2800mAh battery and will be shipping with stock Android Marshmallow v6.0.1.
