Micromax has launched its newest smartphone Canvas Infinity at an event held in Delhi earlier today. The unique thing about the phone is its full vision display which is 5.7-inch tall with HD resolution and offers 18:9 aspect ratio like the Samsung Galaxy S8‘s Infinity Display. It is priced at Rs. 9,999 which makes it the cheapest smartphone in the country to offer 18:9 display followed by the recently announced LG Q6 which costs Rs. 14,999.

As for other specifications, the Micromax Canvas Infinity features the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has a 13-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture, Auto HDR mode, and LED flash. For selfie lovers, it offers a 16-megapixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture along with front flash and real-time Bokeh effect. There is also a Super Pixel mode for the rear camera which is said to click multiple shots at once and merge them together to offer the best possible and sharper result.

With the smartphone, you will get 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. The whole package is powered by a 2900mAh battery which is claimed to offer up to 20 hours talk time, 6 hours of video playback and 420 hours of standby time. On the software front, it will be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box but Micromax has assured an update to Android 8.0 Oreo in the future. It also features a fingerprint scanner on the back and features OTG support.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity is an Amazon India exclusive for the time being and sales will start from September 1st. But it will also be made available via offline stores eventually.
