The LG G6 flagship has now been launched in India officially. The announcement was made at an event held in Delhi where LG revealed that it will be an Amazon exclusive in the country. The exclusivity factor is for online sales and if you are interested in brick and mortar stores, you will be able to get one from there as well.
The LG G6 features a metallic body with glass on the back panel. There is a 5.7-inch Quad HD display which LG is referring as Full Vision display. It is simply a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio which means a larger display within a smaller body. The display also features DolbyVision HDR certification.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. The phone has a 13MP dual rear camera setup with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture where the second sensor is a 125-degree wide-angle lens. As for clicking selfies, it has a 5MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
It should be noted that the LG G6 was originally launched in 32GB and 64GB storage models but for the Indian market, there is only the 64GB model with microSD card expansion up to 2TB. The whole package is powered by a 3300mAh battery with support for fast charging. It runs on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box and also features Google Assistant. Other features include IP68 water and dust resistance rating, USB Type-C, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.2.
LG has priced the LG G6 at Rs. 51,990 in India. It is relatively cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ which are listed at Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 64,900 respectively but come with the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
