Lenovo has sent out the media invites confirming that the Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone will get official in India on September 22nd. It is highly believed to be the rebranded version of the ZUK Z2 smartphone that was launched in China earlier this year. It seems like Lenovo wants to drop the ZUK branding for the Indian market.

The company has also been teasing the arrival of the Z2 Plus on Twitter for quite some time by giving a hint of a particular feature in each tweet. Two of the most notable features include U-Health and U-Touch. The U-Health option seems like an app that appears to one stop solution for all of your health and fitness needs.

As for the U-Touch, it is basically a feature that will allow you to way more things with the phone’s fingerprint scanner as compared to the standard use of unlocking the smartphone or clicking a picture.

Talking about the specifications, the Lenovo Z2 Plus is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, there should be Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. On the back, you will find a 13MP camera with ISOCELL sensor, f/2.2 aperture, EIS, LED flash, and phase detection autofocus. For selfie lovers, it has an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and wide angle lens.

The whole package is powered by a 3500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The phone will be running Android Marshmallow but it is not confirmed whether it will be ZUI or CyanogenMod like it was the case with the Indian launch of ZUK Z1.

Do remember that these specifications hold true only if the Lenovo Z2 Plus is indeed a rebranded version of the ZUK Z2 smartphone.
