Lenovo has finally launched the Lenovo Vibe S1 in India. The smartphone was first announced by the company at the IFA 2015. The most interesting feature of the Vibe S1 is that it has a dual camera setup at the front for taking selfies. The phone was announced for $299 (about Rs. 19,776) at IFA, but the company has launched it for only Rs. 15,999 in India. It will be available exclusively via Amazon India.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 comes with a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with a pixel density of about 440ppi. Under the hood, the phone has a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. It also has 3GB of RAM and offers 32GB of internal storage. You can also expand the storage further up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card. The whole package is powered by a 2500mAh battery and is available in Midnight Blue and Pearl White color options. On the camera front, the Vibe S1 has a 13MP camera at the back with phase detection auto-focus. While on the front, it has an 8MP camera as well as a 2MP camera. The phone runs on Vibe UI based on Android Lollipop 5.0 straight out of the box. It is compatible with 4G LTE, 7.8mm thick, and weighs about 132 grams.
The Vibe S1 is the one of the three smartphones that were showcased by Lenovo at the IFA 2015. The other two smartphones are the Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m. Both the phone features a big battery (4900mAh and 3900mAh) along with support for Quick Charge. The Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m are priced at Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively.
