Lenovo has sent out press invites confirming that the PHAB 2 Plus smartphone will be launched in India on November 8th. The invite has the text, “It’s time to live life PHAB size. Witness how #DifferentIsBetter.” It further confirms that the smartphone will be an Amazon India exclusive in the country.
The Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus is a phablet device and was first unveiled at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 event held earlier this year. The highlighting features of the phablet include a huge 6.4-inch Full HD display, dual 13MP rear camera setup, and a 4050mAh battery.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT8783 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The dual 13MP rear camera setup features f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, and Fujitsu Milbeaut ISPs. On the front, it has an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
On the software front, it will be shipping with VIBE UI based on Android Marshmallow v6.0. It’s available in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey color options. As for the pricing, we will have to wait until the official launch but it was announced for $299 at initial launch in the event held in the USA (about Rs. 20,000).
