Huawei has finally launched one of its much talked about smartphones, the Honor 5X in India. It has been priced at Rs. 12,999 and will be available via Flipkart and Amazon India. The smartphone offers pretty good specs and features an all metal build. It is available in three color variants: Sunset Gold, Dark Gray, and Daybreak Silver.
The Honor 5X sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 chipset and Adreno 405 GPU. The phone has 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. On the back, it sports a 13MP camera with dual-tone LED flash, autofocus, and f/2.0 aperture. For selfie lovers, it has a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The whole package is powered by a 3000mAh battery which is said to be good enough for lasting one full day. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0 which will help you charge 50% of the phone’s battery within 30 minutes. On the software front, it ships with EMUI v3.1 based on Android Lollipop v5.1 with plans of upgrading it to Marshmallow v6.0 in future.
The Honor 5X also features a fingerprint scanner with Huawei‘s Fingerprint Identification 2.0 tech. You can also use the fingerprint scanner for doing more things than simply unlocking the phone. Huawei has said that it takes only 0.5 seconds to unlock the phone using the fingerprint and it can be used for locking apps, keeping files safe, and enable Visitor Mode.
