Google has officially released its Daydream View VR headset in the Indian market. It is based on the Daydream platform and offers an immersive virtual reality experience to users on Daydream compatible device like Pixel/Pixel XL and Moto Z. The support for the platform is also said to arrive on the Asus ZenFone AR and Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ in coming months.

The Daydream View VR headset was first unveiled at an event held last year and was made available only in the United States and a few other countries. The headset comes with a lightweight fabric for comfortable wearing experience so that it can be worn for a longer period of time. It also has a remote controller which makes it easy to navigate the virtual environment and also be used to interact with various virtual objects depending on the type of content is being watched.


There is a dedicated Daydream app which lists all the apps, games, and any other content which offers Daydream experience. For example, there is a YouTube VR app which allows you to watch 3D and 360-degree videos in a more immersive way.

Google has partnered with Flipkart for selling Daydream View VR headsets in India which have been priced Rs. 6,499. It comes only in Slate color option and you can get a Rs. 300 cashback if you pay using PhonePe app and up to 5% off on using Axis Bank Buzz credit cards.
