At the much-awaited Pixel launch, Google unveiled the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones and followed it with the announcement of its Daydream View VR headset. It is the first true VR headset from Google and is quite different not only from Cardboard but also from various other VR headsets.

The Google Daydream View VR headset is made up of fabrics that allowed Google to keep it lighter and comforting to wear. It features a latch which is used for getting access to the place where you will slide in the smartphone. The best part about this VR headset is that it connects with smartphones wirelessly which mean you don’t have to go through this hassle all the straps and clippings.

Google also showcased a remote control-like controller for the Daydream View. The controller comprises a touchpad, buttons, and sensor that allows you to use it like a Nintendo Wiimote and interact with the virtual world. It should make the whole virtual reality experience a little more interactive.

The Daydream View VR headset has been unveiled in three color options: Slate, Snow, and Crimson. It has been priced at $79 and will be available starting this November. Google has also announced a number of virtual content for the headset which will let you make most of the hardware.
