When Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were made available to buyers, they came preloaded with Google Play Music which also acts as the default music player app on these flagships. This was a result of a partnership with Google and Samsung which further meant some exclusive features for Galaxy S8 users like the ability to upload up to 100,000 songs instead of the standard 50,000 for other users. It also included a free three-month premium subscription for each Galaxy S8 buyer.
And now, it is time for another Galaxy S8 exclusive Play Music feature which has now started to roll out wherever Play Music premium offering is available. This new feature is “New Release Radio” which is basically a radio station comprising a personalized mix of newly released tracks. It gets updated daily to keep adding new songs. While Play Music has been highlighting this as a Galaxy S8 exclusive feature, here is a simple and quick way using which you can get it on any device as long as you have access to the Play Music premium subscription.
You simply need to visit the Play Music New Release radio on the PC after logging to the same Google account which you are using on the app on your device. Once the page loads, simply click the Add to Library option and you are good to go.
The newly added radio station will become accessible to you via Stations section under Music Libary option. As this is a personalized radio station, you will also end up finding some local music like I discovered a few Hindi and Punjabi songs.
So there you have it. Even though there is a possibility that Google might bring this radio station to everyone sometime later, you can have it right now without having to wait and that too without any complicated tricks or tweaks.
