The much-talked about cloud-based smartphone Nextbit Robin is finally available for purchase. The phone is currently listed on Nextbit’s website for a price of $399 (about Rs. 24,744). At the moment, the company is selling only the GSM variant of the smartphone while the CDMA will be made available later. The phone is available in Mint and Midnight color options.
The USP of the Nextbit Robin smartphone is that it comes with 100GB of free storage. The storage is in addition to the 32GB of non-expandable internal storage. Nextbit uses this cloud storage for backing up all of your apps, multimedia content, and documents. When it will notice that you are not using a particular app or photos, then it will delete them from the phone. Since all of your data is backed up on the cloud, you can retrieve them anytime you want as long as you are connected to the Internet.
By default, Nextbit backs up all the data when you are charging the phone and it is connected to a WiFi. In case, you end up consuming all the 100GB storage, your storage limit will be increased without charging you anything extra.

The Nextbit Robin sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display. Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is a 13MP rear shooter with phase detection autofocus and dual-tone flash along with a 5MP front shooter. The whole package is powered by a 2680mAh battery and ships with Android Marshmallow out of the box. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, front stereo speakers, NFC support, and USB Type-C port.
