BlackBerry has launched the KEYone smartphone in India earlier today. It has been launched under the name BlackBerry KEYone Limited Edition Black which seems to be due to the reason that it comes with upgraded RAM and internal storage configuration when compared to the global variant.

While it is basically an Android smartphone, it is the physical QWERTY keyboard which makes it stand out from the crowd. The keyboard supports various gestures and features like shortcuts, flick typing, and touch navigation which prove it to be more useful than just normally texting. Other than this, it has a bunch of apps aimed at enhancing your productivity and keep your smartphone secure and safe from intruders.

The BlackBerry KEYone sports a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels. Under the hood, it has the 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with the 4GB of RAM. It also offers 64GB of internal storage which is something absent from the globally launched model.

On the back, it has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX378 shooter with f/2.0 aperture with, phase detection autofocus, EIS, and dual-tone LED flash. As for taking selfies, it offers an 8-megapixel camera with wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture and flash. The whole package is powered by a 3505mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. It will be running Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box which is quite close to the stock Android experience.

The BlackBerry KEYone has been priced at Rs. 39,990 and will go on sale starting August 8th via Amazon India. It is the exclusive partner for selling the smartphone in the country which has been made available only in Black color.
