Asus India has launched a new smartphone named ZenFone 3S Max in the country. The phone is aimed at offering a longer battery backup so that users don’t have to worry about keep charging it every day. It is basically an upgraded version of the ZenFone 3 Max smartphone launched last year.

The ZenFone 3S Max boasts of 5000mAh battery which is said to last for up to 3 days after the full charge. It is the only special thing about the phone with everything else being a standard affair of mid-range specifications and metallic body.

Asus has opted for a 5.2-inch display with 720p resolution and 2.5D curved glass. It has an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC under the hood along with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The phone has 13MP and 5MP camera combo with the rear camera also featuring phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash.

On the software front, the Asus ZenFone 3S Max runs on Zen UI 3.0 based on Android Nougat 7.0. It has a fingerprint scanner on the front which is claimed to unlock the phone within 0.5 seconds. Asus has priced the ZenFone 3S Max at Rs. 14,999 and is now available via offline and online channels across India.
