Other than unveiling the augmented reality focused smartphone ZenFone AR, Asus also launched photography oriented smartphone named ZenFone 3 Zoom. It is a successor to last year’s ZenFone Zoom but with dual rear cameras and a bigger 5000mAh battery.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom has 12MP dual rear cameras with one lens offering up to 2.3X optical zoom. The second one is a wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture and both of them work together to create depth-of-field bokeh effect. Asus has said that the camera also features its own SuperPixel Technology which will allow for a better low-light and night photography. It is also claimed to have an autofocus time fo 0.03 seconds even for moving objects.

Other than this, the ZenFone 3 Zoom sports a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM. It offers 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options with support for microSD card up to 2TB.

On the front, it has a 13MP camera with 140-degree panorama selfie and Beautification modes. The only slight disappointment is that the smartphone still runs on the Android Marshmallow. While the pricing information is yet to be revealed, the ZenFone 3 Zoom will go on sale starting next month.
